Costa Rei services

The town
Costa Rei, located on the south-eastern coast of Sardinia, is 70 km from Cagliari and its main airport. At the seaside the crystal-clear water is lapped by 8 km of white sand, surrounded by luxurious and pure Mediterranean vegetation.

To get there from Cagliari you can choose from two different ways. Either you take the coast-road to Villasimius and go straight on up to Costa Rei – so that you’ll enjoy an exceptional landscape, driving on the coast, just next to the seaside and its small bays.

Or you can drive along the SS 125 road to Muravera, which goes through Serrabus mountains and offers an rough and very rugges landscape, full of rocks, corks and brooms plantations.

Costa Rei is a tourist centre made of private villas, hotels, shopping centres, restaurants, pizza houses, bars and a disco. There is also a tourist office, a surgery and a chemist.

In summertime tourists throng the village, but the complex is so meticulously planned and structured that you will not be able to perceive that there are almost 25,000 people staying there. The centre is bound by Capo Ferrato northward and includes more than 8 km of wonderful beaches down to the South, where Cala Sinzias is located.

Costa Rei features lots of sporting activities and entertainment, including most water sports, diving, tennis, volleyball and football fields, rental services for bikes, motorcycles and cars.

During summer nights there are lots of amusements such as cabaret or musical spectacles which are organized in places all over the town.

Culture and Arts
Costa Rei is the site for those who love Italian arts, traditions and culture. The city of the province, Cagliari, is not very far from us and has a millenary history and a fascinating city centre. Close to the complex are also Nora, an ancient Punic town, and Barumini, where tourists can admire local nuraghe buildings.

In the surrounding countryside, as well as on the beaches, it is possible to enjoy horse riding trips. And for those who love natural and archaeological beauty there are daily visits to the closest islands (Serpentara e Isola Dei Cavoli), to natural parks (Colostrai and Torre Salinas), and to megalithic sites (Piscina Rei and Quili Piras).
